As a parent, it is my hope that my children experience the fullness of the grace of God. It is my first desire for them to know Christ and his saving grace. While reading To Train up a Child, I came across the afore mentioned quote and saw the wisdom in it. We cannot know grace except we understand the perfect law of God; We cannot know the depths of his salvation until we know the punishment we faced.
