There is no true Christian that does not, in at least some way, want to be used by God. There was a time in history that God had a special relationship with the nation of Israel via judges. These were men – and a woman – who were used by God to help lead – and judge – the children of Israel. One man in particular that was used by God was Samson.
Samson had a fatal flaw; he desired what God forbade: he loved what God hated. Still, God used Samson to bring honor and glory to Himself.
Another man that was used by God was Pharoah. When Pharoah harden his heart against God, God destroyed Pharoah to show his power.
Romans 9:20-23
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
You see God can use anyone to bring glory to himself, But how do you want to be used by God. Do you want to be used as a bad example? Or would you rather be submitted to God like Enoch, or Moses.
Yes, we will never be perfect But God can and will use us to bring glory to himself. We get to choose to some extent which it will be.
