I would like to share with you a wonderful love story – one written by your Creator and sent to you.
This beautiful story starts with a master builder who looks on a blank canvas and brings light to the darkest of situations. In the next four days of this marvelous event, He then brings boundaries, creates life giving substance, and ordains beauty in touch, taste, and scent. He looks at everything day after day and says “It is good!”
Two days before the entirety of his masterpiece was completed He formed life. He formed the birds of the air and the life in the sea. The next day, he formed life on the land. The animals were formed. All this He had done by simply speaking the words.
But He was still unfinished in His work. Yes, the animals were gentle, yes the flowers and trees beautiful, yes the sounds of the frogs were pleasing to His ears, but He wanted FELLOWSHIP. He wanted friendship. He is worthy of all praise, but didn’t want a forced praise, rather He wanted something that was Designed to worship him – however this creature will have a CHOICE on whether or not it will. It will have freedom of will.
So this time, for this special creation, instead of simply speaking the words, this Creator reaches down into His creation and begins to make a pile of dirt.
Perhaps the lion sitting in perfect harmony with the lamb was watching their Creator with all the curiosity of a cat and asked the flamingo beside them “What is He doing?” But they wouldn’t know any different – this was only their first day of life, after all.
They watch as this pile of dirt is shaped. It’s growing in size and the flamingo looks to the little worm and says, “Maybe the Creator is making a larger version of you?”
After a short time, the creator shifts away from this mound of dirt. The animals look on as the Creator reaches down and breathes into the nostrils of this hunk of dirt and it transforms into a living soul – something entirely different from every animal out there – and it resembles their Creator.
“Adam” that is the name of this marvelous, special creation.
Everything the creator made, he looked at and called it “Good.”
The Creator then plants a beautiful garden named Eden and puts Adam in it and gives only three boundaries:
1. Tend to the garden.
2. Name the animals.
3. Do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Every other tree of the 2,000 different kinds you can eat of, just don’t eat of that one.
Creator gives him the gift of work. He gives power over the fish, birds, animals and plants and tells Adam to tend to the trees and God brought the animals to Adam to name them.
As Adam was doing so, the Creator noticed something and says “It is not good…” So He starts working on His final piece of creation as he listened to Adam name the animals.
“That’s a He antelope and a She antelope.” He says, pointed to the pair beside the lions he had just named. “ and That annoying winged tape recorder is a parrot. That’s a He parrot and a She parrot. This is a He turtle and a She turtle…” and so on it went. But in all of Adam’s naming of the animals – in all of creation there was not a help meet for Adam.
So, the Creator puts Adam to sleep. He then opens up Adam’s side, removes a rib, closes his side back up and starts fashioning another lump with this rib.
To the animal’s amazement though, when this creature was finished, it wasn’t this rugged, strong man that came forth, but a beautiful woman. When Adam woke up, God brought this woman to him to be his wife and Adam says,
“Wow.” And he names her woman because she is taken out of man.
The new earth was paradise. All animals live in harmony with each other and man. Everyone ate herbs and plants. Man and woman live in harmony with eachother and God and in the cool of the evening God – the Creator Himself would come down to earth and walk with man and woman through the garden have a close relationship one with another.
Everything was beautiful. No sin which means no death and no loss of innocence. The man and his wife were naked – they were clothed in righteousness of mind – and were not ashamed.
