Have you ever woke up later than you wanted to, having to push things that really need to get done to the back burner so that you could rush out the door to get to that thing that cannot wait? Maybe this happens often in your life in different areas – I know it is true for me. Something urgent comes up and I have to rush off.
The psalmist writes in Psalms 119:5
“O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!”
The thought here is simple to understand, but hard to implement. If we are going to keep God’s statutes, we must direct our way of living. This means that rushing off to what ever before spending time in the Bible must be stopped.
We may have to change our way of living to obey God’s Word, but He gave His life to change our eternity.
