liberty is the ability to do what we should, not the freedom to what we want. An employee must obey their boss, but the self employed person has a boss too. Every person must give an account to someone, but all men must give account to God.
2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
In order to have true liberty we must submit to God and follow him. The closer we get to following God, the more liberty we have. We must adhere to to God’s law, and in that law we find liberty. This start with salvation, and it is achieved to a greater degree when we conform closely to it.
